Our Mission and History

Everbloom Montessori is a nonprofit Montessori school in Grand Rapids dedicated to expanding access to high-quality early childhood education. Our mission is rooted in the belief that children thrive when they are supported by prepared environments, skilled educators, and a learning community grounded in respect, independence, and equity.

Our History

Everbloom Montessori was founded by educators and families who believed that early childhood education could be both high-quality and accessible. From the beginning, the school focused on creating a child-centered learning environment where independence, curiosity, and social development are nurtured through authentic Montessori practice.

What started as a small, mission-driven program has grown into a thriving nonprofit school serving families across Grand Rapids. As our community has grown, so has our commitment to expanding access and supporting the developmental needs of young children during the most formative years of life.

Our Mission

Everbloom Montessori believes that the first six years of a child’s life are the most critical. We offer a high-quality learning environment to a diverse community of children and families. It is our mission to encourage independence, respect, and freedom, within safe limits, in a Montessori environment. We work in collaboration with the adults in each child’s life to support and develop the skills of daily living, not only at school but also at home and as members of the community.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to create a diverse community of children and families that revolves around grace, courtesy, and respect for all. Independence and collaboration through a Montessori-based education will prepare our youngest children with lifelong skills needed as they become engaged, empathetic citizens of the world

Growing to Serve More Families

As enrollment has grown, Everbloom has expanded to meet the increasing need for high-quality early learning in Grand Rapids. Our move to a larger campus on Jefferson Avenue allows us to bring programs under one roof, increase capacity, and create thoughtfully designed spaces for infants, toddlers, and Children’s House learners.

This growth reflects our long-term vision: expanding access to Montessori education while maintaining the calm, prepared environments that support concentration, independence, and development.

A Community-Centered, Nonprofit Montessori School

Everbloom Montessori operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission focused on educational equity and community impact. Our leadership, educators, and board members work together to ensure that Montessori education remains accessible to families from diverse backgrounds.

Through programs like tiered tuition and public partnerships that support early childhood access, we continue to build a school community that reflects the families and neighborhoods we serve.

Looking Ahead

Our story continues to evolve as we grow alongside our students and families. Every decision we make is guided by a simple goal: to create an early learning environment where children feel respected, capable, and inspired to learn.

At Everbloom Montessori, we believe education is not only preparation for school. It is preparation for life.
