At Everbloom Montessori, we believe every child deserves access to a nurturing, high-quality early learning experience. That’s why we’re proud to offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) - Michigan’s state-funded preschool for eligible 4-year-olds, in partnership with Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). By combining public investment with our Montessori-informed, equity-centered approach, we’re creating more opportunities for children and families to thrive.

  • The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s state-funded preschool program for eligible 4-year-olds. It’s designed to increase access to high-quality early education for families across the state.

  • Children may qualify for GSRP if they:

    • will be 4 years old by December 1, 2026

    • will not turn 5 before September 1, 2026

    Final eligibility and placement guidelines are determined in partnership with Kent Intermediate School District (KISD).

  • The GSRP school-day program is free for eligible families.

    School Day Schedule:
    8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

    Additional care options are available for families who need extended hours.

    Please note application fees for Everbloom are waived for GSRP-qualified students.

  • No. GSRP covers the regular school day, which runs from 8:30AM to 3:30PM. Monthly added care rates for GSRP-enrolled families are below:

    • AM Care: 7:30-8:30AM - $222

    • PM Care: 3:30-5:30PM - $444

    • Extended Care - $610.50

  • Partnering with GSRP helps us expand access to Everbloom’s equity-centered, Montessori-based learning environment—ensuring more children can thrive during these critical early years.

  • It won’t! Montessori is a recognized curriculum through Kent ISD, and our program continues to follow Montessori principles and practices. GSRP funding supports access—not changes to how we teach. Your child will still experience the same nurturing, child-led, and hands-on learning environment that defines Everbloom.

  • To be considered for GSRP at Everbloom, you must complete both of the following steps:

    1. Apply through Kent ISD's GSRP Application Portal. Be sure to list Everbloom Montessori as your top choice.

    2. Complete a short application on our website. This helps us understand your interest and secure your spot as soon as we receive confirmation from KISD.

How to Apply for GSRP at Everbloom

Families applying for the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) complete two steps. Both applications are required to be considered for placement at Everbloom Montessori.

Step 1: Submit the Kent ISD GSRP application
This application determines eligibility for the state-funded GSRP program.

Step 2: Complete the Everbloom Montessori GSRP application
This helps our team coordinate placement, communication, and classroom planning within our Montessori environment.

Submitting both applications as early as possible helps ensure the smoothest enrollment process.
