The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six.

- Maria Montessori

Everbloom Montessori Cooperative believes that the first six years of a child’s life are the most critical. We offer a high-quality learning environment to a diverse community of children and families.

We encourage independence, respect, and freedom with safe limits in a Montessori environment. We work in collaboration with the adults in each child’s life to support and develop the skills of daily living, not only at school but also at home and as members of the community.

Everbloom is proud to be on the American Montessori Society’s Pathway of Continuous School Improvement.

Vision for Everbloom

Our vision is to create a diverse community of children and families that revolves around grace, courtesy and respect for all.

Independence and collaboration through a Montessori-based education will prepare our youngest children with lifelong skills needed as they become engaged, empathetic citizens of the world.

What is Montessori?

Montessori Philosophy is a form of early childhood education that focuses on the child by positioning the teacher as a well-prepared guide, available to assist the child in their exploration. While the child/teacher relationship is still vital in any form of education, Maria Montessori found that children learn more fully and deeply when they are allowed to initiate their own learning and set their own pace.

The Co-op Model

Cooperative models benefit parents and families through sharing of valuable resources, skills and time. In addition to high-quality child care, our community emphasizes family involvement and parent/adult education. Engaged families also develop meaningful connection & social support as a part of our learning community.

More about Montessori

Watching this short, six minute video from the American Montessori Society, you’ll learn about how Montessori supports the foundations of character, the importance of space for movement and exploration of the physical environment and a bit about why parents and families choose Montessori.

Our Environment

In our Montessori classrooms you will find space that is centered around the child with an atmosphere of calm and beauty. The classroom is set-up to be a true “Children’s House” in which the furnishings are child-sized, organized, and invite the child into exploration and discovery.

…as a queer parent, it is important to me for my child to be exposed to cultural competency. Everbloom Montessori Cooperative regularly includes social justice activities that address this need in relevant [age-appropriate] education.

Like so many of the students at Everbloom, my daughter was born during the pandemic...by the time she entered Everbloom, she had fallen behind some of her developmental milestones, mainly in gross motor and speech. Within months she had caught up and our concerns had melted away.
